The inspiration for making candles came while my daughter,
Estelle, was at university in Cornwall and we wanted something creative we
could do together despite the distance. Estelle and her friends had tried
making candles before and so it seemed like the perfect place to start. We
always had a candle burning at home and so making our own seemed like the perfect place to start.

We had no idea how much there was to learn! After countless hours of researching, experimenting,and testing different fragrances and waxes,
(admittedly making a few candles that were better suited to the bin than the
living room), Esme Candles was born.

The name Esme Candles was born from a combination of Estelle
and Me. although Estelle does not have as much time to get involved as she once did, but the name is still a reminder of how it all began.

Today, every Esme candle is still hand-poured in small
batches with the same care and attention that inspired the first creations.  I carefully select each fragrance and pair it with timeless The fragrances are carefully selected and
they are paired with timeless, minimalist containers to compliment any
room.

Candles are about more than fragrance; they create atmosphere,
mark special moments and bring some calm to everyday life.
